Immunisations
Immunisation is a way of protecting against infectious diseases. It is a personal choice. There are benefits and risks associated with all treatments. You need to research the issue to ascertain if this is the right option for you.

Nutrition
Professional nutrition advice is available from Megan Lewis at The Village Health Centre, 146 Karori Road.
Megan is a registered nutritionist and loves supporting her clients to improve their health with science-based nutrition advice tailored to an individual’s needs and food preferences.
She has a particular interest in sports nutrition and has worked with the Wellington Phoenix Football Club for the past six years, as well as being the nutritionist for the New Zealand School of Dance to optimise the performance of the dancers.
Megan holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition from Massey University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences (majoring in Chemistry) from the University of Cambridge, UK.

Nurse Clinics
Practice Nurses undertake a number of treatments including:
- Dressings
- Blood Pressure Checks
- Screenings
- Cervical Smears
- Immunisations
- ECGs
Nurse Clinic Hours are :
- 8.30 am till 5.00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- 9.00 am till 12.00 pm, Saturday morning
Appointment times are for 15 minutes. If you need a longer appointment, please let Reception know at the time of booking.

Travel Services
A seperate travel appointment with a GP to discuss individual immunisation requirements is needed at least 2 weeks before your intended date of travel.
Our Travel Clinic offers up to date information on immunisations, health precautions and latest world trends. We use regularly updated information, along with Ministry of Health guidelines.
A number of our Practitioners have undertaken Post Graduate study in this specialty.
Maternity Care
At Karori Medical Centre we can provide some care relating to pregnancy. Our Doctors do not offer birthing services. Midwives working from our satellite surgery, The Village Health Centre, 146 karori Road, Karori can provide complete maternity care.
